Our Christianity sessions support the units covered in schools and enhance them by creating and making Christingles, Salvadorian Crosses, weaving crosses, pancakes, crackers, Easter Egg Hunts, Lost Sheep games and more! The children enjoy recognising and comparing the elements of Christianity to other faiths they have studied to broaden the depth of their worldviews.
Christianity workshops are popular the whole year through however never more so than during the festival seasons of Easter and Christmas. Using a wide range of artefacts, props, food and games, Christianity is brought to life with surprises and age old stories. Children are familiar with most but not all of the Christian customs and how and why Christians celebrate, so REonDemand takes the children through a journey of exploration looking at the reasons behind the seasons.
We also take a look at the significant people in the New Testament as well as learning the historical lessons from the Old Testament. Other focuses include the Lord's Prayer, The Holy Trinity, how the Nativity is described in the gospels and more!
Perfect for church schools to consolidate your own teaching with tailor-made age appropriate activities which can be used to introduce new topics or indeed, to add a finale to your scheme of work.
Together with Salvadorian crosses, planting seeds, Healing Hands art work and more, puppet drama and reflecting on parables and the stories of Jesus, to name just a few sessions, REonDemand's Christianity workshops are perfect for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Christmas is also covered in our Light themed RE days.
