REonDemand creatively introduces Islam by setting up a Kaaba as a focal point around which we present each aspect of the Muslim faith through stories, a vast collection of genuine artefacts, clothing, hands-on activities and demonstrations. Investigate the Five Pillars and discover the commitment of each instruction through group work, hands on tasks, drama, exploration of artefacts and by demonstration. Our stimulating, educational and fascinating multi-sensory activities bring Islam to life.
Introduction to Islam: With reverence we introduce the Qur'an and the 99 beautiful names of Allah. We then look closely at how Muslims worship and where using our wonderful resources. We travel back in time to the origins of the faith through the stories of the prophets, Mecca and Mohammad (pbuh).
The 5 Pillars of Islam: By carefully dissecting each pillar, children get a true grasp of the commitment Muslims make and how they show their dedication to the faith every single day. Spending a session on each pillar allows time for reflection, discussion as well as exciting celebrations and plenty of fun. With costumes, food tasting, Arabic writing and much more, all year groups can access this engrossing workshop.
Muslim Celebrations: A bright and exciting look into Eid, starting with the seriousness and contemplation of Ramadan to the Night of Power and through to the vibrant Eid celebrations. Songs and card making, special foods and clothing make this a cultural feast for the senses!
