We delight in sharing stories from the Torah and studying how Jews worship today. By getting to know the key figures, and what they did so long ago, brings Judaism to life in your school.
Children will enjoy the story of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, celebrated around December and through differentiated activities and interactive story telling, consolidate what they have learnt. Our beautiful hanukkiah is lit for each night as children learn about the importance of light.
When covering the history of Purim, we share the dramatic tale of Esther; shaking our graggers when Ha....ssssshhh! is mentioned!!
We also deliver fun and exciting workshops for Pesach (Passover) – focussing on special foods, the Seder Plate, symbolism, crafts, food tasting and cooking, as well as the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) – in which we share the story of the exodus of slaves from Egypt, construct a Sukkah and again, enjoy food tasting. Pupils love joining in with the descriptions of the plagues and play games to help memory recall.
